Terms of Use

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This is a translation of the original document in Portuguese, which was written under Brazilian law. In case of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails.

These terms govern the use of the codilla.io website, the customer area and the Sentinela license, offered by Codilla. By creating an account, buying a license or using Sentinela, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

1. Account

  • You must provide truthful information and keep your email up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all use made with your account. Let us know if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • If you buy without being signed in, an account is created with the email provided at purchase to give you access to your licenses.

2. Purchase and payment

  • Plans and prices are those published on the Sentinela page at the time of purchase. Payment is one-time, with no monthly fee, processed by Stripe.
  • The license is released once payment is confirmed: with card and Pix, within moments; with boleto, after bank clearing.
  • The Source code plan is contracted through a dedicated proposal and contract, which prevail over these terms where they differ.

3. Sentinela license

The purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased version of Sentinela for an indefinite period, under Law No. 9,609/1998. Sentinela is not sold: Codilla retains all rights to the software.

  • Each license works on 1 computer, within the limits of the plan purchased (monitored files, suppliers and analysts).
  • Activation requires an internet connection. The software periodically checks the license's validity with Codilla's servers.
  • If the computer is faulty, under maintenance or lost, you can cancel the activation in the customer area and activate it on another computer, up to 2 times every 12 months. The activation on the previous computer stops working. Beyond this limit, contact support.
  • The license is for internal use by the licensee company.

You may not

  • resell, rent, sublicense, assign or distribute Sentinela or the license;
  • use Sentinela to provide services to third parties;
  • circumvent, disable or alter the license and plan limit mechanisms, or use a license on more computers than allowed;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software, except where expressly permitted by law.

Violating these rules allows Codilla to cancel the license, without prejudice to applicable legal measures.

4. Updates and support

The license covers the version purchased. New versions, maintenance and technical support are not included and can be contracted separately. During the technical validity of the version, Codilla offers technical services for the proper operation of the software, upon contracting, under art. 8 of Law No. 9,609/1998.

5. Customer responsibilities

  • Keep the computer where Sentinela is installed turned on, with access to the monitored directories and to the email server used for follow-ups.
  • Correctly configure directories, deadlines, suppliers and recipients.
  • Keep backups of your environment's data.

6. Warranty and limitation of liability

Sentinela is provided as described on the product page, and Codilla is liable for software defects as provided by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codilla is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or losses resulting from incorrect configuration, failures in the customer's environment, third parties or force majeure, and its total liability is limited to the amount paid for the license.

7. Right of withdrawal

When the purchase is governed by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, you may withdraw within 7 days of purchase (art. 49), with a full refund. In that case, the license is cancelled and must be uninstalled. To exercise this right, write to contato@codilla.io.

8. Intellectual property

The website, the Codilla brand, Sentinela, its documentation and materials are protected by Laws No. 9,609/1998 and No. 9,610/1998. No rights are transferred beyond the license described above.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is on this page, with the date of the last update. Changes do not reduce the rights of licenses already purchased.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of the customer's domicile are elected as the venue.
